Professor Bob Cryan CBE joined the board of trustees of the Peter Jones Foundation in September 2014. Passionate about the transformational effect of education, Bob is a Chartered Engineer with 6 degrees to his name including two first class honours degrees and two doctorates.
He is currently the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Huddersfield, an institution of around 22,000 students from over 120 countries. Under his leadership, Huddersfield has consecutively been awarded the Times Higher Education Entrepreneurial University of the year 2012/13 and 2013/14, as well as the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2013.
As a result of his excellent leadership Bob has received the inaugural Guardian Inspiring University Leader award 2013 and was appointed CBE in 2014 in recognition of his contributions to education.
