“If you want something you never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done before.”

“I was clueless as to what to do after sixth form. University was not an option because I didn’t want to go ahead with further education for another three years of my life. I wanted to be my own boss, an entrepreneur who could make my own choices and take my own risks.

I discovered the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy when searching the internet for options. I was a fan of Peter Jones CBE from Dragons’ Den and the course really stood out. It wasn’t all about theory but more about performing practically – setting up your own business in the real world and this appealed to me.

Whilst at the Academy I developed a business plan for Svadish, a catering company specialising in organic Indian cuisine. The Academy has helped me make my business idea a reality and I am now opening my own restaurant.

The support from the highly trained and experienced tutors helped me make my dream come true of running a restaurant after gaining all the crucial knowledge, throughout the 12 units of the Level 3 course. A highlight of the Academy was being a National Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 finalist and pitching my business idea to Peter Jones and a panel of judges. I was awarded National Entrepreneur of the Year – Highly Commended at this year’s graduation ceremony at Freemasons’ Hall in London. It was such a proud day and a life changing experience!”
