Ollie Forsyth

“I am so glad I joined the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy. It’s certainly the best decision I have ever made.”

“I’m very dyslexic and so really struggled at school. Despite having a great experience at primary, I was badly bullied at secondary and left aged 16 without qualifications. But I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur. At 13 I started my first business, Ollie’s Shop, which is an online gift shop, and have since established an online enterprise magazine, The Budding Entrepreneur.

I believe that if school isn’t for you, you have to follow your dreams and passions in life. When I left school, I was eager to get out there and make it happen. I wanted to be an entrepreneur and I wanted to build my enterprises. Looking to learn more, I searched for suitable educational providers online and the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy was the first one that popped up. I got in contact and had an interview not long after.

When I visited the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy for a day, I instantly knew this was for me. The atmosphere was amazing; everyone was incredibly nice and kind. Being on the course has made me so motivated and has given me clear idea of what I want to do in life. What’s also great is that everybody gets on with each other, which I haven’t really had in my school career before. Everyone helps one another if they are struggling and the staff and lectures are incredibly supportive.

Although the course is tiring whilst running two businesses, it’s incredibly worth it. I am so glad I joined the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy. It’s certainly the best decision I have ever made.”

In recognition of the considerable success that Ollie has achieved with his companies, his story has featured in a wide range of national publications, including the Daily Mail and the Sunday Express. As well as continuing to build on these early accomplishments, he has ambitions to promote business education in UK schools and in developing countries.

Ollie’s Shop is an online gift shop for teenagers, selling fun gifts at affordable prices. The Budding Entrepreneur Magazine is an online publication that aims to encourage, inspire and support emerging entrepreneurs, offering individual businesses extensive coverage and expert advice.
