Peter Jones CBE hosted our Annual Charity Shoot Day yesterday, with champions of youth enterprise and entrepreneurship coming together from across the country to raise funds in support of the Peter Jones Foundation.
Held at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, the event was attended by fellow Dragons’ Den stars Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman and Nick Jenkins, not to mention a catalogue of special guests from across the business world.
Peter said: “I’m delighted that so many friends have turned up to show their support of the Peter Jones Foundation. We have been working for a decade now to put enterprise and entrepreneurship at the core of this country’s education system and we really are making a difference.
“The financial boost that days like today provide is very important to our continued success and the futures of so many bright young people, so I really am very grateful to all those present.”
After a morning’s shoot and a spectacular aerial performance by the Royal Navy’s Black Cats helicopter display team, the guests enjoyed a live singer, massages and a cocktail bar, before sitting down to lunch and a fundraising auction conducted by presenter Jonny Gould.
The total amount raised was an incredible £145,000. The prizes on offer included luxury holidays in Paris, LA and South Africa, an exclusive dinner cooked by Levi Roots, and a commissioned artwork by Alexander Hall.
Peter Jones Foundation CEO Alice Barnard said: “Today was another wonderful fundraiser for the Peter Jones Foundation. I’d like thank everyone who came and made it such a special occasion, particularly our fantastic sponsors.
“For ten years, the Foundation has been promoting the value of enterprise education and we’re proud to be at the forefront of its delivery.”
The day’s sponsors were: Red Savannah, Cutler and Gross, Parnassus Travel Group, Jetfly, Stratstone of Mayfair, Red Letter Days and EXPANSYS.
