Former PJEA student creates award to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs

Peter Jones Enterprise Academy graduate Adam Bradford is continuing his work to encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs, with an award that celebrates Achievement, Determination, Aspiration and Motivation (ADAM).

Students at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at South Essex College have been inspired to help their community following a visit from a local foodbank. 

It all started when The Storehouse’s project manager, Rob Carvosso, was invited to the college to give a talk on homelessness and poverty. Rob explained the challenges faced by the foodbank and the students set about discussing what they could do to help.

Students at Thornton Primary School in Birmingham have been inspired by the Tycoon in Schools competition this year. The school has shown its entrepreneurial spirit, with five teams in the nationwide competition.

Westborough High School helps West Yorkshire students get equal access to technology facilities

Budding entrepreneurs at Westborough High School taking part in Tycoon in Schools 2016 are seeking to help young people in West Yorkshire get equal access to technology with their computer recycling and leasing business.

Nearly one third of pupils at Westborough High School do not have access to a computer or laptop at home, so they have to stay behind after school to have the same chances as other students.
